OK so we’ll admit, there are some jobs that present challenges…. This was one. Evergreen State College in Olympia.

Patty gave us a call because they had some real heat issues here. Especially in the offices below the guys here. So they built offices right under these skylights, and for the ceiling used a professional grade corrugated clear plastic to continue the skylight “effect.” Really cool idea, providing more natural light in interior offices this way is smart. However you cant stand on or place a ladder on it, which is why we have the plank across to the scaffolding. Now as you can see the HVAC system is exposed to the sun, therefore making the AC work harder to stay cool; in addition to the direct sun blasting into the office skylight. We also filmed some panes in the library where they get alot of sun, which this film will also protect the books from UV damage. So here’s the cool thing about Ener-Logic Window Film. It works ALL YEAR. How so? Well, all films are mostly for blocking out heat and glare, which is summer time weather. They also block damaging UV rays (which is all year), but now how to save energy in the colder seasons? That’s where Ener-Logic comes in. This film reflects heat back to the source, so summer time back to the sun, winter time, back inside where your heater is on, the source! Its some interesting technology not to mention effective.
